Mentor Program
A wonderful component of Camp Pathways CDC's mission in positively impacting lives, is our
continual mentor program:
H.A.T.S. (Help a Teen Succeed). Targeting middle and high school
students ages 1
0-18. We believe mentoring can be a powerful intervention tool and when used
effectively, proves to impact lives positively.

What is H.A.T.S.? “Help a Teen Succeed” is an outreach program created to help teenagers realize
their potential, showcase their talents, focus on their purpose; and help them become motivated and
passionate enough to achieve their dreams.

What is H.A.T.S. Mission: Our mission is to shape character, build self-esteem, and inspire
teenagers to succeed. Through the implementation of structured and curriculum based programming,
we believe in the success of our program.

Programs/Events: On a weekly basis, H.A.T.S. Chapters hosts structured, supervised, and
curriculum based meetings/worshops, annual summer Jams (all regional chapters come together for
a fun filled day and to share ideas for chapter expansion/growth), quarterly events such as:
poetry
slams, skits, plays, step shows, fashion shows and community service projects
. Additionally, once
a year we sponsor our own scholarship pageant designed to boost morale, develop character, build
self-esteem, and provide some financial relief to upcoming freshman college students:
"Mr. &
Miss Vision of Hope Scholarship Pageant"
(scholarship contingent upon available
funding). Our statewide
H.A.T.S Campaign also works to establish H.A.T.S. Chapters throughout the
state of Georgia. Each chapter must have a Chapter Advisor.
